Ads on Smithton.Net are purchased in units know as "CPMs", or "Cost Per Mille".  ("Mille" is Latin for "one thousand".)  For every CPM you purchase, your ad is guaranteed 1,000 "impressions".  An "impression" is when your ad is displayed to a visiting user (not when a user clicks the ad).  Your ad will run until you are out of impressions, not when an arbitrary time limit is reached.

Each available ad location on Smithton.Net is capable of rotating through multiple ads.  Purchasing an ad in a particular location does not imply or guarantee that your ad will be the only one displayed in that location.  You may use this to your advantage by running multiple, different, ads in the same location to grab user's attention.

Heading Advertisement

Heading ads are 550 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall.

Heading ads are displayed at the top center of the Smithton.Net home page for maximum visibility. They are the largest ads available on Smithton.Net!  Basic Heading ads are $50.00 per CPM.

Sidebar Advertisement

Sidebar ads are 160 pixels square.

Sidebar ads are displayed down the left side of the Smithton.Net home page.  There are two available locations.  The top position is the most visible and is $40 per CPM.  The second position is available for $35 per CPM.

Animation

Standard ads are static images.  Add animation to your ad for only $10 per CPM!

Advertisement Creation

The listed prices are for customer-provided ads.  Jaeger Technologies will gladly help create your ad if you don't wish to do it yourself.  Static ads of any available size are $50.  Animated ads vary based on the complexity of the ad but generally cost $100 for any available size.

Static ads may be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format.

Animated ads must be in Animated GIF format. 

Ad delivery via Email is preferred.  We also accept ads on CD, DVD, or via FTP or HTTP.
