Bi-monthly meeting of the Smithton Historical and Genealogical Society NFP (SHAGS).
Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
Meetings are held in the Old Village Hall, 115 Melinda Street, Smithton, on the third Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November. Dues are $10 per year / $5 per year for students 21 and younger, and membership is open to everyone.

After a short business meeting and collection of 2009 annual dues, the SHAGS will adjourn to the Smithton Fire Department on North Main Street for a short presentation on the history of the Fire Company by Fire District Board Member John Parke, followed by a "behind the scenes" tour of the facility and an introduction to the Smithton Fire Department's new Fire and Rescue Truck.
