Who went to the Grand Opening? What did you think?
I went and was pleased to see that the hardware store will take care of my needs when I really don't want to run to Home Depot or Lowes or have the time.
With that being said, for items and things that I can purchase at Smithton Lumber I will continue to do so. I really don't want to see this hardware store close down a business that has been in town longer than I can remember.
Thoughts/opinions?!?

Missed the grand opening, but I've been in there a few times for odds and ends. I was downright shocked that I could find decent home theater cables at good prices right here in town! (Come on, Radio Shack - nobody needs $100 Monster cable.)
Like you said though, I want Smithton Lumber to continue to prosper. They may not carry the weird stuff I need to rewire all the crap I have in the house, but they've always been very friendly when I was there.
