Library Information
The Smithon Public Library District is a member of the Lewis and Clark Library System located in Edwardsville, IL. The library is an ONLINE member and the library holdings can be accessed using LCLS's GateNet system. GateNet can be accessed through the World Wide Web. See below to learn how to access the catalog at home.
The library has six computers for patrons to use. All of the computers have the Microsoft Office Suite of programs. All six of the computers have access to the Internet. The library also has a computer with educational games for children and young adults.

E-Books
The library is proud to offer our patrons the ability to "checkout" E-Books. All you need is a valid library card, a PDA (Personal Desktop Assistant) or handheld computer, and an connection to the Internet. Ask the librarian for more information. Click here to sign up!

To gain access to the catalog you will need two things:

Behind the scenes we have a great group of people that act as our Library Board of Trustees. Our Library could not function without our wonderful Library Staff and Volunteers. Due to our great staff, the library is able to provide a variety of services that our patrons find useful and convenient. Our staff, along with our friends group, enables us to provide programs for the whole family.

- Largest Automotive Collection in the state. (Including Some Truck, Tractor, Motorcycle, RV and Lawn Mower repair manuals)
- Tax Forms (January -- April)
- Fax & Copy Machine Service (Available for a nominal fee)
- Internet Access available to library patrons

Online Catalog
To gain access to the catalog you will need two things:
- Your Library card number. The number is located on the back of your library card and starts with 10084. You will need to type in the whole number.
- Your PIN Number. This is the last 4 digits of your phone number.
